Joe Atkinson is the Chief Digital Officer at PwC and knows a thing or two about global digital transformation. He sat down with WalkMe’s Chief Business Development Officer, Amir Farhi, for a session entitled, “Turning Crisis into Opportunity: Giving Employees the Digital Experience They Deserve.”

Atkinson shared that for better or worse, COVID-19 has accelerated organizations to advance technologically, giving them an opportunity to rethink and take advantage of adoption curves. This silver lining has afforded companies the chance to actually get farther ahead technically then they could’ve ever done before.

Prioritizing employees is crucial, Atkinson relates, and in most organizations, employee experience is an afterthought. When it comes to new software, employees need support and resources readily available to embrace technology and perform their jobs.

“At the end of the day, if you can create a great employee experience, employees will adopt the technologies you’re sharing with them.”

With almost three decades of experience and leadership at PwC under his belt, Atkinson’s straight-forward and compelling approach to employee experience is refreshing and necessary.
